Welcome to All About Pointe
This is a site that is always in progress and is for students of Ballet, and their parents, who want more information on Pointe training. Please read carefully. Pointe is not for every dance student and if done incorrectly, can cause serious, permanent injuries.
It can be hard for parents and students to know which schools to choose, who are proficient in ballet and the requirements for pointe work, without knowing what is required.
This site has been designed to meet those needs and educate those who are in search of such knowledge.
If a student is not ready for pointe, or will never be on pointe, that does not mean that they are not a good dancer, but rather not ready or possibly may not have the physical ability to ever dance on pointe.
If you have any suggestions of additions to the site, please email at [email protected] ....No spammers, please.
Browse through the pages for any information you may need, or just for fun.
Thank you.
Teachers, check this out. http://www.balletcurriculum.com/finding-the-correct-full-pointe-position/
